why do adds for turning off addblocker keep me from being able to read articles on blacklisted news?

Add page takes over and can't read articles. They re open after I close it continually, asking to shut off addblocker or pay monthly fees.

This is not an issue with Firefox for Android, although i can understand how it might appear to be the case.

With the rise of ad-blocking extensions to popular web browsers, various companies that derive an income from their web content have included software on their sites to defeat the ad-blockers, sometimes described as ad-blocker-blockers(!).

What you are seeing are companies protecting their revenue stream be combating the ad-blocking software you have installed.
