default browser windows 10
I understand the whole go to the system thing, set it up or use the fire fox options to go directly there, the problem is, fire fox is not in my list of default browsers, I am using fire fox right now to do this, its just super annoying every time i open fire fox for it to tell me its not my default browser, some way to fix it would be appreciated.

there is a pic, it wouldn't upload before
Open Windows Internet Explorer. Have it declared as the default browser. But turn off the option to check this when the browser opens (If you want).
Now do the same thing using Firefox.
Doesn't work
At least its not a huge deal i guess. I cant make any browser default, not even edge.
i understand how to get to the menu and all that jazz, i don't have any options to change any browser, i cannot set any browser to default, and windows 10
i guess im asking why i cant select a file from my hdd why does windows think it needs to be installed in the first place, how that has anything to do. I might just roll back to windows 7, because windows 10 seems to cause more problems than it solves by a long shot
IMO, Microsoft is "pushing the limits" again. What? Like a year since their consent decree about web browser "choice" with the EU ended and they're denying users the choice of using a non-Microsoft browser again or making it hard to set the "default"? I wonder if Mozilla "payed the freight" for the App Store and "played the game the MS way" if this situation would be happening? Between MS and Apple with their own draconian App Store, the two of them are paving the way towards greater use of Android and Linux operating systems. And with Android they are "helping" Google make money, or is Android part of Alphabet now? Only a company that made such a silly name as "Google" pay off big-time would even think of using a name like Alphabet ...
Others have thought the same. All I can add at this point is; https://support.microsoft.com
i don't have the option to set any browser, i cant set internet explorer or edge, nothing, i need a manual fix, not using their stupid menus, Yah, it might be more of a windows problem. And i know they are going to tell me to reinstall windows, its the easy fix, everyone loves spending a day reinstalling their os and getting stuff back to normal...
