Earlier I logged in to Firefox to pose a question. Checking email, I had a notice from Mozilla that my account was used to sign in: Firefox on Windows 10 / United States (estimated) / Thursday, Oct 23, 2025.

Does Firefox think I'm using Win 10??? I checked my computer and it verifies that I am running Win 11 with all updates.

Call me confused. Or is this a non-issue? I ask because I'm trying to get into a member website and after I login, it takes me to a page that is for new signers ... not an existing member. Has happened several times.

Thanks,

Ron

The User Agent you used to post this thread is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:144.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/144.0

Windows 11 is basically based on same NT 10.0 as Windows 10 as you can see at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_NT#Releases

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out! Regarding Windows 10 appearing in your email notifications, that's a known issue tracked under bug 1973170.

Regarding your issue with a website... Could you please try to do the same in another browser (such as Edge, Chrome or Opera) to determine whether it's just the website's behavior (and an issue is on their side) or it's a Firefox-specific problem?

Hi, Denys,

Thanks for your reply!

I tried opening the website with MS Bing ... brought up the correct page and let me log in to my account and move within the site easily. So, it appears to be a Firefox issue. How do I proceed from here?

Thanks again,

Ron

Thank you for checking that!

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help you:

  1. Please check if you have Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) enabled. You can do that by clicking the shield Fx89ShieldIcon icon at the left of the address bar.
    • If ETP is enabled, try disabling it. Does the problem persist?
  2. If the problem is not fixed, try clearing Firefox cache. Does it help?
  3. If it does not help, also try clearing cookies and data for the website you experience troubles with (warning: you will be logged out on this website). Does it help?
  4. If it also does not help, try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode. Does the problem persist?

Also... Would you mind giving us the URL of the website?

Either way, looking forward to your update!
