control-shift-k not working

sub16

For months, control-shift-k almost never works. Every once in a while it does briefly. No sense of what is different when it briefly works. Updates to TB don't seem to make any difference.

Thanks for checking this!

Try Help > Troubleshoot Mode. Does it work now? Exactly what aspect doesn't work?

Try restarting Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode (see <Help | Troubleshoot Mode>.) Among other things, that temporarily disables all add-ons, which might indicate that one of them is interfering.

In my case, I noticed that control-shift-k didn't always work, depending where I started it from. But it worked properly in Troubleshoot Mode. I discovered that it was the "Expression Search - NG" add-on that was causing the inconsistent behavior.

If I cared more about the default behavior I might contact the add-on's developer and see if anything can be done about it. But I've never actually used that keyboard shortcut and the functionality of the add-on is more important to me.

In other words, if you find that one of your add-ons is the culprit, contact its developer.

The function works in Troubleshoot mode. I only have one add-on. When I disable it, the function still does not work in normal mode.

I had to restart Thunderbird after I disabled "Expression Search - NG" for the function to work properly. That's not usually necessary, but it was in this case. Try that.

Looks like the disable and restart might have done the trick! Thanks!
