cannot send out email to new Yahoo server and thunderbird does not ask for a password when I open it up.
Comcast/Xfinity email services have migrated to Yahoo. Using Thunderbird I cannot send out a reply. the error message is "Login to server smtp.mail.yahoo.com with username leifsvensen failed."
I am getting emails in, but for some reason it is not asking for a password when I open up Thunderbird. I would like it to ask for a password every time I open Thunderbird.
outgoing mailbox settings: Server name: smtp.mail.yahoo.com Port:465 security: SSL/TLS Authentication: normal password user: leifsvensen
I have also tried it with authentication turned off and get the same result.
Thanks Leif Svensen leifsvensen@comcast.net

Some added information to my question; with authentication off I get this message: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Email rejected. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.
