The message was composed using a translator I have 3 mail for work. 1 personal, 2 shared There are no problems with my personal email. I can't send messages from two other emails, and I get an error

Error translation "Error sending message. Error sending mail. Mail server responded: Error: send AUTH command first. 1777978756-Gxds2c0SZiE0-r8k7j8Ju. Make sure the email address you specified in your account settings is correct and try again."

Bei manchen PDF Dateien 2,7 MB bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung Datei beschädigt. im Originalpostfach ( t- online ) Zugang über Internet ist der Anhang ok. Wenn ich die Datei vom Server direkt ( z.B. t-online nochmals an meine E- Mail Adresse sende und dann über mein Thunderbirth Mailprogramm öffne, ist die Datei ok. Der selbe Effekt tritt auch auf meinem Lapptop mit Linux Betriebssystem auf. Was kann die Ursache sein?

I have multiple email adresses for different purposes, but all of the incoming emails are sent to the Local Folders inbox, where I have separate folders to save emails for the each purpose. I am able to manually sort the folders in the order that I prefer, however each time I shut down Thunderbird and then restart it, the folders end up in seemingly different random order each time. Is there a way to ensure the manually sorted order of the folders does not change?

I want to move some contacts from one mailing list to another. How do I do that?

How do I add a contact to an existing mailing list? The contact is already in my address book and is not a new contact.

Comcast/Xfinity email services have migrated to Yahoo. Using Thunderbird I cannot send out a reply. the error message is "Login to server smtp.mail.yahoo.com with username leifsvensen failed."

I am getting emails in, but for some reason it is not asking for a password when I open up Thunderbird. I would like it to ask for a password every time I open Thunderbird.

I have also tried it with authentication turned off and get the same result.

I have tried using s/mime encrytpion for the first time. I have created 3 different accounts using the same CA on 3 different devices. All three can communicate with each other using the s/mine encryption. I used multiple methods - sending a signed email first and then encrypted+signed, creating a .pem file with public key - importing it in Manage certificates/people and sending an encrypted+signed email. Sending an encrypted email from-to the same address also works. What I can't seem to be able to do is use any other public keys. I have a list of companies and their keys, but whether I use a file downloaded from their site or copy the key to txt and then make a .pem file out of it, as I did with my addresses, I can't send an email that is both encrypted and signed. I get "end-to-end encryption requires resolving certificate issues for ..." and the recipient status "not found". They specifically don't want to send a signature first and then encrypted+signed, and I am stuck trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I cannot sent emails. My account is a gmail one, I am using these settings i na POP3 modality:

Server Name: smtp.gmail.com Port: 587 User Name: matos@sgmr.net Authentication method: Normal password Connection Security: STARTTLS

I have used the verification tool in settings, and it establishes the connection.

However, when I try to send, I get one of these responses: "Enter your password for matos@sgmr.net on smtp.gmail.com." I enter the password and it either asks for the password again or I will get: "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out. Try again."

I'm using Thunderbird with an Office 365 business account via EWS.

I'm trying to reduce the amount of storage used on my local machine by setting the "Synchronization & Storage" setting to 3 months instead of downloading everything, but every time I change the setting it doesn't stick.

I'm on Thunderbird 150.0.1 (Windows).

I double checked all data (IMAP and SMTP ports, passwords, mail adress, ... And I tried it on 2 brandnew computers (one PC; one laptop), running on Windows 11 I've no idea, what else I could do

I use Thunderbird on my older Macbook Air, which I am replacing with q new Mac laptop. I have a huge record of emails in many folders on the old computer and want the same thing on the new computer. I have done this many times in the past between a desktop and a laptop Mac with no issues. But something seems to have changed.

I installed the program, I tried to transfer the profile from the old computer to the new computer, and deleted the older profile. I tried to open Thunderbird and it tells me the profile is missing or inaccessible. I deleted the .ini file but that just makes me do a set up again. I used to do this all the time between my other Macs and it was super simple. Now it's a nightmare and doesn't work at all.

So how do we transfer all saved email, folders and server into etc from on computer to a different computer?

Hi, I use thunderbird as both POP and IMAP through gmail. I keep all my emails on my POP thunderbird desktop client. I use IMAP on my thunderbird laptop client, iPhone, iPad via Apple mail when remote, then download the emails to my desktop.

What I want to do is read emails and set them to archive on my IMA laptop, iPhone, iPad. I know Gmail tags the archived emails. How do I stop thunderbird from downloading the archived emails to my POP thunderbird desktop client?

In one email account the arriving messages arrive shown as "read". before they showed "unread" and were bold. I've tried but can't figure out how to reverse that. a different email account on the same reader shows new messages

Hi. I have four gmail accounts and use a desktop pc runnings windows 11. I have been using thunderbird as my desktop email client for many years, but recently, something has changed. My incoming emails are not formatted correctly and the links in them do not work. I'm not sure I am saying that correctly, so I will attach a screenshot. I would love some advice on how to fix this! I used to just have my Canon TS6350 do my printing. Great. Now Thunderbird seems to have taken over my choice of how I print for a long while and it's driving me nuts. It is a dreadful system. I have just set up Thunderbird on a new Windows 11 PC. So far as I can tell I have filled in the server details correctly. I can receive incoming mail. However, it fails to send emails out - I have tried a couple which I know are correct. Error message is: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <<snip>>: Relay access denied.

Please check the message recipient "<snip>" and try again.

(I've removed the actual mail address from the error message.) I've read the answers to previous versions of this query and made the correction as suggested. This hasn't helped. Any suggestions please? Many thanks, Roger Moore
