FF is slow through ClearSwift Proxy

more options

Hello Everyone

Our Company has switched its Proxy using "ClearSwift" now. In every other browser I have no problems, everything is normal. Firefox is loading the sites really slow with this proxy. Maybe it has something to do with Proxy Filtering (I have not that much knowledge about proxy, but I read about it).

I tried to restart FF without AddOns and it worked once. The second time I tried this FF was still slow.

Is this a known issue? Can I do something about this? Maybe change a setting in about:config?

Other Browsers I tested (without any Issues): IE 11, Opera20, Chrome 33

Best Regards Tobias

My Firefox is not slow generally. It is very fast with the old Proxy and everything is okay. It's only a problem with the new Proxy "ClearSwift".

I also installed Nightly with FF 30 but it's the same problem there.

I may have to use another Browser if you can't help me...

This doesn't really help me.

I searched a little in the Web and found a link where the exact problem was described.

The problem is that my company network is filtering based on packet content.

Can you explain, what this means and what I can do to speed up FF?

This has absolutely nothing to do with parental access or blocked websites.

Is there nothing in about:config I can change to have the same behavior of FF as other Browsers have?

It may have something to do with the certification validation of FF. All other Browsers don't check the certificates of websites but Firefox does and does block all the sites that has invalid certificates. Can this slow down FF?
