I do not have any menu options in firefox. Have tried changing size of window but doesn't help. To reset firefox the information I have seen talks about the firefox button. I don't seem to have this either. I don't mind losing all my bookmarks etc. Have tried re-installing firefox but still doesn't work. Please help. I'm using Windows

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.

  • Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Hello tlcoull,

can you see the other toolbars ? (bookmarks etc), if you can not click F11 to exit the full screen mode.

to enable firefox button(the orange one) right-click on an empty section of the Tab Strip and uncheck Menu Bar in the pop-up menu.

then to reset firefox, go from Firefox button > Help > Troubleshooting Information > Reset Firefox…

Display the Firefox button menu instead of the menu toolbar

Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems

but why do you want to reset firefox ?

thank you
