I can't add hyperlinks to my eBay listings, I have to go back to IE8 to do that, why please?

I abandoned IE8 because there were too many popups slowing down the system to a crawl, none of the malware programs cured the problem, Firefox seems to be much better in that regard. But, I use eBay as a business, I like to add Hyperlinks to my listings so that my customers can navigate easily for more information. I can't do that with Firefox, because the links are inactive, I have to go back to IE8 to add the hyperlink, then go back to see if it has worked in the Firefox listing...and it has. So why can't I do that directly in Firefox?

Does disabling Adblock for Ebay work, most adblockers block stuff like this. Also try safe mode and see if it works.

Hi, thanks for your response. Disabling AdBlock doesn't cure the problem. Her is exactly what I mean: I have a listing on eBay, I want to add a URL hyperlink so that my customers can navigate to another source of information.

So I access a useful URL by copying it and pasting it to my eBay listing, it transfers OK, but is inactive to click on (no underlining etc).

If I do exactly the same thing in IE8, it transfers properly. Therefor I can construct a listing using FireFox in the normal way, but then have to quickly revert to IE8 to add the URL hyperlink. Just wondered why there is a difference between the two browsers. I don't want to go back to IE8 if I can help it :-(
