Figured out. Here is the solution. Change Firefox to 32 bit mode. Select adobe NPAPI Plugin as the reader. delete all cookies, history, restart firefox and voila. Woohooooooooooooo..

What are your current application preferences for PDFs? You can check here:

Firefox > Preferences > Applications

In the search box on that tab, type pdf and pause while the list is filtered. In the right column drop-down control, you should be able to control which viewer is used. Does that work?

Does not work. I have selected adobe reader and it keeps launching adobe in a separate window. Thus, I cannot complete the task online. Please help my friend

If I select Use adobe NPAPI Plugin, the pdf file opens as a blank pdf file within mozilla.

Thanks for posting the solution. As a Windows user, I don't have a 64-bit option, so I'm not familiar with that issue.
