When I open Facebook all is okay. When I go to "photos" all the thumbnails are blank. I can open them one at a time but the images are filled with black squares. I've tried going to "tools, options, content, etc" several times but no help.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
See:

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:

  • Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
  • Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
  • Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
  • If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Here's how I fixed my problem. ....I remembered that I had changed font colors when a site was visited.

I went to Tools/Options/Content/Colors and checked either USE SYSTEM COLORS or LET PAGES CHOSE THEIR OWN COLORS, INSTEAD OF MY SELECTIONS ABOVE. ....and my pictures returned.

I don't know how or why, but everything works fine now

Neither of these "fixes" has changed anything. I also cleared my cache, ran a diagnostic check, and a virus/trojan scan! Either way, firefox 4 is just not working up to my needs! Should, or can I go back to 3.6?
