I use Mac OS X 10.6.4 (recent update). Since this update, firefox also updated. Now, every time I open a website that uses flash player, firefox crashes and I get a message saying "firefox closed unexpectedly".

Me too. OS 10.6.4 and Firefox crashes (during Firefox startup). The crash report ist not very helpful (Loop: Startup - Crash - report - Startup - Crash ......).

Sad to see I'm not alone. FF3.7 still crashes. I've made new profiles, deleted cookies, caches, prefs, flash plugin, plugin database, restored toolbar settings, reinstalled FF, reinstalled the latest Flash. Problem on CNN video and others.

My system maintenance is done too i.e. repaired permissions, safe boot, zap PRAM, used Disk Warrior. No problems with Safari, Chrome or Opera. Lastly, crash reports always go to Apple. Can't get FF Crash ID. Mac 10.6.4, MacBook Pro 2.16GHz, G-Raid3-2TB.

I read a lot of pages on this and one finally gave me a solution. The current Flash Player has a bug. To test that, go to Tools>Add-ons>Plugins and turn off Shockwave Flash. Then try to go to CNN, the New York Times, or Yahoo Mail. If it fixes the problem, then this buggy Flash Player is at fault.

It was suggested that you download the beta version 10.2 here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

Just pick the one that says: Download plug-in for 32-bit Mac OS X32-bit (DMG, 5.5 MB)

This fixed it for me.
