How do i stop firefox advising me of missing plug ins?

a banner keepcoming up at the top of the pages advising that i need additional plug ins to view content on a website (facebook). i do not want to add this plug in as i know it will only lead to me being able to see the large moving and annoying advertisements on this site but i cant find an option on mozilla where i can stop it from advisingme of these plug ins.

Enter about:config into the address bar, click through any warning page, then into the Filter box paste:

plugins.hide_infobar_for_missing_plugin

Double-click the line listing that preference to change the value to true
