How do I recover my main account? I'm in a pickle

more options

I downloaded a app on my Macos Big Sur workstation (https://kevin-de-koninck.github.io/Clean-Me/) and I ran it (I did not have the option "User Preferences" Selected) Somehow, after rebooting my computer shortly after, it had logged me out of my Firefox account. That shouldn't be a big deal right? Somehow at the same time my Lastpass password program does not have that account saved in it. It has a secondary account ( that used to be the primary, but I guess I switched it at some point) that I can login to, however whenever I login to it, it says

By default password reset is sent to the Primary email address to verify or update the info but if the secondary email address doesn't get the reset then there nothing more that any forum user can do do help here as that is now a Lost account. As to how lastpass works that is up to lastpass support to help with their software.

I have access to the primary email address but I don't want to reset the password if at all possible because it wipes all of my years of history, extensions, settings, and bookmarks. That will be such a pain to start over. It sounds like I may have to go that route though, and I understand there isn't much anyone here can to do help so I'll just try contacting Mozilla support again and see if they can help, and if not I'll just have to reset it.

ruevaughn1, if you go down the route of resetting your account password, you may wish to first backup your bookmarks and passwords etc. locally, so that they can be recovered if need be.

See here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile#w_your-important-data-and-their-files especially the "Your important data and their files" section.

First, you do not need to reset your Firefox Account, you can use Firefox without signing into a Firefox Account for as long as you need while you explore other options.

Second, do you use Apple's "Time Machine" backup feature? It's possible that Time Machine has copies of your Firefox data. However, as a Windows person, I'm definitely not in the best position to point out where to access that.

As a starting point, what data was lost in your Firefox? For example: all logins, all bookmarks, all history, add-ons, custom settings, etc.
