Bookmarks and AddOns gone

Hi,

I just brought a 3070... played with it and 2 days later (today) i was watching a movie and the screen turned black. Reinstalled windows, because it keeped happening.... found it that it seems to be the GPU died after 4 days for no reason at all (so i'm not in the best mood right now).

After reinstalling windows and installing firefox i notced that my bookmarks from my profile are gone and no matter what i do they seem to be gone.

This is really confusing to me, because last time i had to reinstall windows firefox loaded my bookmarks and even autoinstalled the addons that i had "in my account".


What happened? Why is everything gone? Not only did by new GPU chose to die on a saturday night... i just also seem to have lost my bookmarks of the last 8 years (some of them i do really need).

At first i thought that i have to select something to import the bookmarks, but since even my addons are gone i wonder where it all went.

it's possible that they were not synced to your Firefox account before you reinstalled Windows. If you have set up a Firefox account and enabled syncing of bookmarks, history, and other data, you should be able to retrieve your bookmarks by logging in to your account in Firefox and syncing them back.

If that would be the case... then why did it load the bookmarks AND ADDONS the last time but this time it doesnt?

I understand what you're saying, but this cant be the case... if firefox didnt switch it off by itself at some point and while doing this also deleted the bookmarks and addons that where saved before.


edit: very ironic BS... i used a old 250gb SSD that i used before i reinstalled my PC the last time (i wanted to save the bookmarks from there). After i saved the bookmarks on another HDD i rebooted the PC and before i could even find the option to load the bookmark file the bookmarks started to load in.

Those are the bookmarks from the 250gb SSD and not the ones pre reinstall... but at least i got some bookmarks back.
