a lightning strike destroyed my motherboard, but I was able to salvage my harddrive. Now have a new laptop, have restored all my emails (from localfolders on salvaged drive) but am unable to get back my calendar. Any hints on how I can restore my calendar

forget it. I removed everything to do with thunderbird (including files that aren't dropped after using remove program), then went with a clean install of thunderbird. Didn't setup any email account, just cancelled out. I overwrote the new profile setup by the install with my old profile, restarted and it went fine.
