Hello,

This morning I tried opening FireFox and it would fail to open. Tried everything said on the "Firefox won't start" on the find solutions page and many youtube videos using command prompt inputs. I cannot open in safe mode and neither can I make a new profile using -ProfileManager (won't open) what happens is Firefox appears to open for just a split second some sort of error message but its impossible to see what it is. Also tried disabling security programs have ran many scans on my computer for spyware, viruses, etc but nothing. Could this possibly have occurred because I left a couple tabs open overnight??? Also to add it is not running in task manager when I try to open it. If anybody else has a fix or the same issue please let me know. Thank you.

What's your computer system and Firefox version?

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.

In that case, I would install both 32-bit and 64-bit "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019" downloads, (x86: vc_redist.x86.exe and x64: vc_redist.x64.exe) from https://support.microsoft.com/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
