I need to enlarge size of icons in my taskbars because of vision problems. How do I do that?

I need step-by-step instructions for enlarging icons on all taskbars (top and bottom) so I can see them clearly. I have tried everything I can think of -- but there is no option for icon size -- or for contrast between text and background.

Sometimes FF will incorporate the Windows settings.

But as for FF having a method to modify the icon sizes, it doesnt have a built in feature.

In Windows 10, there is a section called Accesiability which can make text and mouse larger.

You can also right click on the Win10 task bar, select task bar item. Then on the taskbar settings section find the light switch for : "turn off small icons"

You can set layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0 (default is -1) on the about:config page. Adjust its value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.1 to enlarge or 0.9 to reduce) until icons or text looks right. Make sure not to use values too large or too small.

  • modifying layout.css.devPixelsPerPx affects user interface and webpages (global zoom)

Firefox has a Zoom section in Options/Preferences to set the default zoom level for webpages.

  • Options/Preferences -> General -> Language and Appearance -> Zoom

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".
