i would like to know how to have thunderbird in linux open video from emails in a larger screen- I don't want to have to resize them every time- VLC won't play .Mov files- so that is out- using both MPV and Celluloid but they won't retain the size when i resize them, watch video then close- the next video i watch will start out at the same size, but immediately revert to smallest size- which is too small to see well really

ok, if anyone else has this same problem, the program 'Kaffeine" is able to play .MOV files, and it can be adjusted and remain that size you resize it to for the next time you open your email and view a video- I had tried several programs, but they woudl always revery back to small size the next time i tried viewing videos- but Kaffeine works just fine-

Thunderbird has no control over the behaviour of external applications.

Hi Stans, thanks for replying- When i use the video programs outside of thunderbird, i can size it how i want, and next time i use it, it will be that same size a what i adjusted it to- but in thunderbird, thunderbird always reverts it down to smallest size viewing box- (Well, except for the VLC program, but VLC won't play .MOV files so i can't use that one)
