When I go to www.yahoo.com and click on Finance, it takes me a a page showing the stock market results and stories. If I click on any story, nothing happens. I did got to Edge and check it out and the same page works properly. Can you please help. I really don't want to go back to Edge.

Hi mickkassem,

Sorry to hear you are having issues loading yahoos finance stories. When did this issue begin?

Have you tried in Safe Mode? {link} This will disable add-ons you have installed while enabling hardware acceleration.

You could follow the article or follow these steps to restart in Safe Mode:

  1. Click the '3-bar' menu icon in your Firefox browser
  2. Click Help(?)
  3. Click Restartwith Add-ons Disabled... - > Restart
  4. Choose start in Safe Mode -> Try browsing Yahoos Finance stories

You could also try clearing your recent history if certain websites cannot load.

To do this : Click the library icon -> History -> Clear Recent History Firefox cannot load certain websites {link}

Let me know if this worked.

A good idea. But cleaning history probably will not help.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

  • check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions"

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows the shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case Content Blocking is blocking content.

  • click the shield icon for more details and possibly disable the protection

You can check the Web Console about what content is blocked

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Data

"Clear the Cache":

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear
