I would like a password to be required before any user can browse the internet on my computer. How do I set this up ? I've heard of StartupMaster however I was unable to configure it to word the way I wanted.

Chosen solution

You can't install Legacy extensions in Firefox 57 and later. In current Firefox releases you can only install WebExtensions.

On your computer, set up a 'guest' account. Then change the password on your account.

Firefox will create a profile for each account on the computer. One profile cannot access another.

You would have to restrict internet access on the operating system level (e.g. firewall) to prevent users from accessing internet.

The developer of "StartupMaster" removed his extension some time ago - it's only available on Thunderbird .....

Odd. I had no problem.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
