Sign in to Firefox password manager is showing mulitipul sign in boxes were by only one of the boxes seems to work, what is this?
When opening firefox several sign in dialog boxes for the built in password manager open were by only one shows its self at a time. When i try to enter my master password the next boxs opens until the last boxs which so activates my password manager. Has any one been across this problem befour and if so what should I do?

Are you saying that more than one box opens when displaying the Master Password?

Note the you can drag the master password dialog window slightly to check if there are other windows below it. You only need to enter the MP once, so you can close/cancel other MP windows. You might see more MP windows if there is some race condition and more than one processor thread want to open a MP dialog.
If you use Sync then this needs access to the Password Manager. Also if you have saved login data for a website that opens on startup then you can get a MP prompt. Not sure if extensions can trigger the MP prompt (try Safe Mode just in case).
Her's a print screen shot, there are two other dialog boxes were by box number three which is hiden at first is the box that allows the master password to activate access to the firefox password manager.
The first to boxes are dummies!
This problem startet with the latest update to firefox.
As a test, shut down sync on that unit.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Did you try to drag the box on top to reveal the other two boxes?
Tried safe mode same problem.
Daging the box does not reveal the other boxes unless I drag them over to the desktop.
Not sure if this is som form of malwear or a program problem.
In the past this was reported more often and there have been legacy extensions (StartupMaster) that dealt with multiple MP prompts, but these multiple MP prompt have been corrected and shouldn't happen anymore.
