Youtube.com always displays a blank white screen. None of the suggested fixes has worked for more than a single visit. Then the page is blank again.
Version 61.0.2, but this has been happening since roughly version 55.x I believe.

You did not say what you already tried so
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Remove History For One Site
Open the History Manager <Control><Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any passwords / settings.
This has not worked to correct the issue.
Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

So you started your computer in Safe Mode with Networking during the boot and still have FF Browser issue?
So far no luck. I can clear all caches etc... and get the site to come up correctly once, but subsequent visits always display a blank page.
I called for more help.
One other thing you could try to test whether it's a Firefox settings issue is:
New Profile Test
This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test the site.
Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.
Click the Create a New Profile button, then click Next. Assign a name like Aug2018, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.
After creating the profile, scroll down to it and click the Set as default profile button below that profile, then scroll back up and click the Restart normally button. (There are some other buttons, but please ignore them.)
Firefox should exit and then start up using the new profile, which will just look brand new. Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system so we can get a clean test.
Does Youtube work any better in the new profile?
When you are done with the experiment, open the about:profiles page again, click the Set as default profile button for your normal profile, then click the Restart normally button to get back to it.
When I create a new profile, set it as the default and restart Firefox youtube.com does not come up at all. I get a security error and clicking the Advanced button does not allow me to add the site as the documentation says can be done. I've seen this behavior on another device with Facebook, but this is the first time I have seen it with Youtube.com
What is the code (often looks like SEC_ERROR_SOMETHING) when you click the Advanced button? There's an article with tips for some of the most common codes:
The error is Unknown_Issuer and if I remember correctly there should be a button to override or add as an exception. That button does not show up.
There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connection certificates and send their own.
Hi ron-traweek, sites can instruct Firefox not to allow exceptions by settings HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security). Firefox also uses an HSTS list that is built-in to Chrome and Firefox. YouTube and other Google sites are HSTS sites, allowing HTTPS only. Please check the article for suggestions.
