Every add-on I put into the customizable header becomes invisible and unusuable.

I have been an avid user of firefox since it's inception, I enjoy it's accessability, user friendsliness and have never had a use for customer support (until now). All of my downloaded firefox themes work, switching between them is no problem. I can add and remove add-ons with no problems aswell, but the moment I close firefox and start a new session (sorry, let me back track a tad, I customize my toolbar on a regular bases, I like the functionality and it makes it more personal). Ever since the mid February update every time I close firefox and reopen it my my add-ons in the toolbar are invisible and unusable. There isn't even an information pop-up when hovering over where they should be (technically they are still there). I'm running Windows 10 (fully updated just like all my programs). I took a snap shot of this message to illistrate my point, both my Ad-Blocker and Flash Downloader add-ons appear ro be missing and yet I know they are next to the library button.

Chosen solution

Are the add-ons in question compatible with the Firefox you are using?

Please provide the names of those add-ons.

It’s possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Delete all extensions files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

After, restart Firefox.

Have you checked the 'overflow menu?'

Yes sir I have, I've never added anything to it. But, so far simply deleteing those files has worked and the icons show like they should, so thank you very much my good man. It was starting to become a hassle uninstalling and reinstalling them just so I could use them

I'm not seeing any items positioned on the toolbar and in the overflow area in the second screenshot.

Are you certain that that are some?

You can check this pref on the about:config page that stores the toolbar customize in JSON format.

My mistake, the second screen shot is the customization page, where it clearly shows that I have Flash Video Downloader (FVD) and AdBlocker Ultimate, which have no image, icon etc. But after following FredMcD suggestion I now have them back with full functionality.

I guess that I should've also explained that previously I could hover over and empty space (say next to libraries) and a very small blank description pop-up would appear, leaving me to guess firefox knew it was there. But I couldn't click them, change options, or even move them. And technically this is all mute now being that it's fixed. If I were still have trouble I would've appreciated your comments and thank both of you for your time.
