Second locationbar Firefox 58.0.2

Dear Sir / Madam,

I recently had an update to Firefox 58.0.2. However, I find it very irritating that every time I start typing in the address / location bar, a second bar appears with additions or alternatives.

I tried to turn it off but it does not seem to work. Please your advice on how I can get this second bar away.

Would you please take a look at this article - and scroll down, you'll recognize that 'extra' bar  :

The location bar is also called the 'address bar', the 'URL bar' and even the 'Awesome bar' .....

Never post any personal information because an adware robot could find it, and start sending you all kinds of spam. This includes e-mail, phone, and home information.

Please remove that information from your post.

What you are seeing is suggestions from your history and bookmarks.

Dear FredMcD,

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I have not yet helped by getting this beam away. So no longer visible when typing url or words.

Hope that there is a solution for this.
