Hi, I would suggest checking out this article. This explains on how you permanently delete Firefox from your computer so when you reinstall then you will start fresh. Did this fix the problem? Please report back to me!

Thank you.

Firefox comes in two or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And at least one folder in the profile of each user on the computer.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user folders would not be affected.

If you want to totally start over with your settings, Refreshing Firefox {web link} is a LAST RESORT ! !

Refreshing Firefox -- easily fix most problems

If you're having problems with Firefox, refreshing it can help. The refresh feature fixes many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information like bookmarks and open tabs. Everything else, like user settings and add-ons, are removed.

You don't need to flush all your data. You can get a halfway clean start using the Refresh feature, or a full clean start using a new profile.

Refresh is described in this article: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

New Profile

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to set everything up again.

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Please do not delete anything on this page at this point. You may need your old profile for reference until you get everything set up again.

Click the Create a New Profile button, then click Next. Assign a name like August17, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

After creating the profile, scroll down to it and click the Set as default profile button below that profile, then scroll back up and click the Restart normally button. (There are some other buttons, but I think those are still "under construction" so please ignore them.)

Firefox should exit and then start up using the new profile, which will just look brand new.
