I seem to be getting a strange problem where Firefox doesn't open properly, see attached image. It opens but then the menu controls in the top left seem to only appear in a certain way which is strange. It then appears that the browser just freezes and doesn't let me use. More often than not, it works fine however every now and again it does this.

Firefox Version: 42.0 OS X Version: 10.11.2 (15C50)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Try to set browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar to false on the about:config page.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
