I am finding that some emails are too big to download and they then block all other messages - any suggestions?

It looks that if an email is above a certain size that Thunderbird has difficulty in downloading it with the result that it blocks all other emails from downloading or keeps trying to download the same message again and again! The only way so far I have found to overcome the problem is by deleting the offending email by accessing the Server direct. Any suugestions would be welcomed.

Turn off email scanning in our anti virus and see if that helps.

In your anti virus program. Unfortunately the Firefox Nightly build I am using is rubbish and I missed the hang that left out half the text.
