Currently firefox crashes when opening. uninstalled / reinstalled (regular and safe mode) and still crashing.

Signature appleffdav.dll

The crash report flagged these programs;

Appleffdav.dll = iCloud Control Panel = Apple Computer for the Windows

This is for Sumo's Related Bugs 1097138 NEW --- startup crash in appleffdav.dll

That is a problem with the iCloud Bookmarks extension. If you have this extension then disable/uninstall.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
