I don't have the full version of Photoshop, so I had to use the Options to point the extension to the Photoshop Elements editor. If yours found Photoshop automatically, could you check whether the extension picked up the correct path? Start on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right side find Open With Photoshop and click its Options button. Here you can set the program path as well as change the working folder for the downloaded files. (First screen shot attached.)

I wasn't sure where to find the path on my system, so I checked the Registry for the program used to open PSD files, which are associated exclusively with the Photoshop family of programs. If you aren't comfortable using the Registry Editor, please ignore the rest of this reply.

In the Windows search box, I typed regedit.exe and press Enter, then approved the security prompt.

From the Edit menu I used Find to look for .psd and that pointed me toward a second search term, PSDFile which led me to the information I needed. (Second screen shot attached)

Contact them anyway. They can still help.
