When will version 41 of Firefox come out? I crash every time I go to weather.com

I don't want to lose my cookies for weather.com, because I want to be able to get my local forecast every time I sign in without the extra steps. Firefox didn't have this problem on my old XP computer, which also ran version 40.0.3. On this computer, I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, and every time I go to weather.com, either by bookmark or by manually typing it in the address bar, the entire browser crashes to the desktop. It is repeatable, and I've repeated it about 10 times now. So, when is version 41.0.0 coming out to fix this strange crash issue?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Safe mode gets rid of the crash, but also gets rid of my cookies. Here are my crashes:

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:

If you are still having problems, disable Webroot.

I can't disable my Webroot anti-virus and firewall while using the internet, or my computer will be vulnerable, so that's not an option. My question is when will the next version of firefox will be released, and will it fix my issue. I updated my video driver prior to disabling the hardware acceleration, and it still crashed on going to weather.com, so it's not the video driver or the hardware acceleration. I also updated my Adobe Flash Player, and it still crashed - here's the links for those crashes:

Any more ideas?

Good, hopefully the new release will solve my problem.

Firefox 41 created problems for me on XP with locking up and not responding if clicking any menu item or tab. So if you are on XP, go back to 40.0 and not 40.0.3.

I'm running Win7 x64, not XP. Version 41.0 didn't fix the problem, either. Hopefully they will fix it by 11/02, as per their calendar (https://wiki.mozilla.org/RapidRelease/Calendar#Future_branch_dates). Thanks for the link, the-edmeister, it helps to know when to look for updates.

Version 41.0.1 seems to have fixed it. www.weather.com is coming in just fine now, no crashes. Thanks, guys.  :)
