Did you make sure that Firefox is not in Private Browsing mode?

Are you in the Private Browsing mode? "Always use private browsing mode" as set in Options > Privacy -> History ? Or temporary opened via a Menu item or from the Keyboard?
Or maybe you have an add-on from a Security Suite that is overriding Firefox Password Manager?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Tried that with no success. I have a screenshot in a word document if that would help.
A Word document won't be uploaded. It needs to be an image file.
See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.
Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.
Here is the screenshot of the attempt to turn the remember password option on with Firefox in safe mode.
If your passwords are not saved outside the browser, use this; Password Exporter {web link} This extension allows you to export your saved passwords and disabled login hosts using XML or CSV files that can be imported later.
The password files; key3.db and logins.json, may be corrupt.
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the key3.db and logins.json, files. Then rename or delete them. Restart Firefox.
Still no success. Should I try to delete and reinstall Firefox?
Have you removed those files? Have you logged into a web site?
