Firefox 40.0 was released on Tuesday this week then a 40.0.2 update on Thursday.

You appear to have Firefox 39.0

So how is Firefox prompting a update to current version a virus?

The older I get the less I understand, I don't recall the updates starting like this; however, there are things in this version of windows that are new to me. Thanks for the help!
