My Application panel is empty. How can I customise the way to open the files I'm downloading from the Web ?

I'm running Firefox version 31..3.0 Since I've reinstalled it 3days ago, the application panel is empty. No way to customize the way to manage files I'm downloading from the Web! Any idea how to solve this ? Thanks

Try to rename (or delete) the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.
