I have a problem with the Affixa plug in and gmail in Firefox.
I use gmail in Firefox on Windows 7. For several years I've been using a program called Affixa, which allows you to send a word document or pdf through gmail simply by clicking share - email - send as attachment in Word Affixa then creates a blank draft message with the attachment and opens it on your gmail page. I have had no problems with this until recently.
Recently a problem surfaced: Affixa created the draft message as usual, but it also closed the gmail window in Fiorefox and I had to reopen it. I did some research and downloaded (or re-downloaded) the Affixa plug in for Firefox. That fixed the problem--but for only one iteration. The next time I came back, the problem occurred again.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried Affixa support? http://support.affixa.com/
Or the Google Group for Affixa support? https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/affixa-support
I can't find anywhere to post a question on affixa support, and I have tried the google group but my posts haven't appeared yet.
I see that it is six months ago that I first posted this. Nothing has changed. When I use affixa to create a message with an attachment from my gmail account in firefox, the message is created in drafts, but the gmail window is closed and I have to re-open it. Not critical, but annoying.
Now there is a plug-in on the affixa site that is supposed to be designed for Firefox, and which affixa support claims should take care of this. And I've downloaded it twice. When you download it and open it, it says that it will be installed when Firefox restarts, and gives you a button to restart Firefox. But after you click that button and firefox disappears and re-appears, the affixa plug-in is NOT in the plugin list.
Please, somebody, HELP.
