Firefox (or an addon) keeps disabling Javascript

I've run into an error where JavaScript keeps becoming disabled on its own on Firefox.

I have two instances of Firefox connected to the same Sync account on different PCs. When I went home last night, an add-on updated (AdBlock Edge, I believe), and JavaScript turned off as well. I'm not sure if the two were related, but I popped into about:config and reenabled it.

Then, this morning, I went to work and found JavaScript was also disabled on my work PC (the other PC of my two that is signed in to Sync). I enabled it as well.

As an aside, perhaps Firefox developers would consider re-adding an option to disable/ENable JavaScript directly from the normal settings. You know, for idiots like me who turn it off accidentally over and over (I know, it was removed to prevent this, but clearly it ain't).

I am using Firefox 33. My add-ons are many, which probably is not a huge help.

Agreed, as you said it was disabled by an add on, which is not an expected use case for an average user to turn javascript on and off. Since version 23 this feature was removed. I would recommend suggesting this in input.mozilla.org.

For troubleshooting purposes, it is possible to disable to suspected plugin to isolate what feature/add on may be turning it off.
