Your address bar looks like that screenshot, or you want it to look like that screenshot?

Generally speaking, the address bar color is controlled by your theme. Not all themes change the colors of all elements, so you might need to shop around a bit. Use themes to change the look of Firefox

I'm not sure what you mean by "too small." It's not tall enough (vertically) or not wide enough (horizontally)?

I tryed what you told me but didnt work. This setting "browser.urlbar.disableExtendForTests" does not exist in about:config with my firefox gecko 94.0.1 The other option "browser.urlbar.maxRichResults" does exist with a default value of 10 I manually created the first option and set it to true then i edited the second option and set value to 0. This did not change anything.

I want my adressbar to look like the screenshot. I preffer the grey adressbar over white because it was easy to navigate, now that everything is white its easy to get lost. And im not only speaking about the color, there is more... When you download anything of your choice, then klick on the download arrow in the adressbar, now you want to open the file location (downloads) in order to do that you must klick on the EXTREMLY SMAL folder-icon, if you just move your mouse cursor a TINY BIT to the side, you will open the file itself instead of opening the download location. Now hear me out, in previous version of firefox the folder-icon was LARGER and therefore WAY EASYER to use. This goes for various different settings and options in the new "Moder Style Garbage" Firefox. My opinion, the new adressbar was a truely bad decision. It makes navigation more complicated.

Do you have enabled "Resist Fingerprinting" as that changes the user agent to the current Firefox ESR version (91) with no way to override it ?

Yes, it's enabled. Absolutly, i noticed websites now think im using firefox 91 while in reality im on 94, is that a side-effect when using resist fingerprinting?

Yes, your user agent is already changed by using RFP. so if you aren't satisfied with this Firefox 81 user agent then you need to use an user agent extension instead and leave RFP disabled.

Well im good witht RFP, i like that it hides the true display resolution thats really nice. Not sure if i will keep RFP but for the moment i will see how it goes. Thanks for you help. But back to the original question, it's pretty obvious there are many themes. I wasnt talking about themes, i want to old adressbar back, with larger icons and better overview. Every damn time when i download something and want to open the downloads folder i klick on the file itself by mistake because the folder icon is do damn smal, like... wtf? Who had that idea clearly should be suspended from working at mozilla.

Firefox doesn't have any built-in methods for selectively enlarging specific buttons in the user interface. You can globally upscale the UI, including text size and buttons, but this would affect all the bars and also the content area. Do you want info on that?

There is an unofficial/unsupported (community-supported) workaround, which is to apply custom style rules to the UI to modify things. Have you heard of userChrome.css? There is a subreddit dedicated to UI hacking which might already have a recipe for the Open Containing Folder button.

Thanks you for helping. I think this is getting to complicated, to much effort for a smal change. Forget about "better overview" i just preffered the larger buttons/icons as they where easy to klick on, now i have to be very carfully moving my mouse cursor or i will press the wrong think, it just sucks. but ill get used to it. But thanks again, and the image you posted is EXACTLY what i mean. Move your cusor just a tiny frking bit sidewards and instead of opening the file location you will open the file itself...

What density setting are you using as set via the customize page ? If you use "Density: Compact" then try "Density: Normal" as that gives larger buttons. Using density normal will also increase the spacing in the bookmarks menu, so that might have been the reason for selecting compact mode. Note that you can also use the Downloads folder in the Library (Show all downloads) instead of clicking the Downloads toolbar button, that way you see the action on the second line.

Another option is to use the right-click context menu item instead of the button. Extra click, but it's built-in.
