When I open a new tab the navigation bar is not selected. How can I fix this?
I've looked at other questions, but I couldn't find a solution to this. When I open a new tab the navigation/URL bar is not selected and I cannot just type to search or enter a URL. I have to move my mouse and select it. This is quite annoying as I've been using Firefox for years and it was always selected as a default. Also, I am having problems with my default browser. It seems to have switched from Google to Yahoo, and I couldn't change it back. (I will post another question for this shortly after searching for the answer more).
Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi, You can check if this problem appears when you start firefox in safe mode Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox if everything works fine in safe mode that means the problem occurred due to some extensions or themes. You can try resetting Firefox Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings but be careful resetting firefox will remove your extensions and themes, website-specific preferences, search engines, download history, DOM storage, security settings, download actions, plugin settings, toolbar customizations, user styles and social features
