On March 7, 2013 Firefox released 19.0.2 I would recommend that you try that. Other than that it sounds like you have tried everything else it is recommended.
Can you post links to some of those websites?
Are there any plugins used on those pages?
You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
- disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
- disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
It locks up with weatherunderground.com, cbn.com, sometimes yahoo.com, and a couple others I can't remember right now.
I already have the 19 update installed . I think that was when I started some problems.
I've always had a problem with firefox and windows 7. W would have to troubleshoot with windows after firefox updates. Normally only once, but now quite often. Even after I have already done it.
