For example, when I sign into Facebook, in the past my user name would drop down, now I can see a glimpse of it but it doesn't show long enough to click on it. Another example is that I cannot do online banking because the drop down menu to select the account does not show long enough to click on it. Same on the navigation bar, etc.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
