The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

• Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

• Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If you use an extension like Ghostery then check the settings for Yahoo and possibly white-list the domain.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

• Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Thanks for your reply...I have done this but the problem is still there... Issue is only with yahoo.com all other sites are opening fine.

Does this issue occur on another browser? Have you tried the step provided by cor-el?

Hi..

Same issue is occouring while browsing with Samsung Galaxy S3. On that phone also yahoo.com is not opening while other sites are opening fine.

I did the process which Cor-el Said but the problem is still there.

If this issue occurs on another device and the same thing is given, then it may not be a Firefox issue, it could be due to your ISP or Yahoo! themselves.

Are both devices using the same router?
