since a couple of weeks, my firefox 3.6 closes unexpectedly, also when just sitting in the background when I'm working in other programs. Please help!

That crash report that you post only has some information about installed extensions. It does however shows some toolbars like My Web search (m3ffxtbr@mywebsearch.com:1.1) that can cause problems.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
