Hi PKShadow. 10sec is longer than long. thers just no word for how long 10sec is ;)

Windows and drivers r up to date with everything.

Its not a dns problem (other browsers work just fine)

I have no problem with high ram or cpu usage (firefox uses about 3% of my ram and 0,5-2% of my cpu)

There is no problem with lag/freez/unresponsive

Hardware Acceleration is for your Video Card, you do not want to change this unless have to.

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

After following your steps, the browser is now fast as lightning again..

I will check back in a few days and let u know if the problem came back or not :) (If not, then i guess it was the disk clean up that did the trick)

It looks like the problem is back after a few days use :/

I think it might have something to do with OpenVPN. It is always active on this computer (yea, maybe i should have mentioned that ^^) But i have always had it, and the there is no problem with other browsers and i had no problem before Quantum.

Any ideas as to why the New Firefox is working so bad with OpenVPN?

I Finaly found out what the problem is! :D

If u have your router using a fixed dns, and then u connect your vpn, firefox wont be able to handle the calback to your routers prefered dns server. Firefox will then have one timeout for each page load before it manages to connect. Solution, use a smarter browser ;) or set a fixed dns to your computer.
