when I tried to up date it says Tab crashed

That happens when the browser was never fully closed while updating. Can you try restarting the whole device and launching the browser again, to see if it improves? In any case crashes would be submitted, you can check for yours: #Enter ''about:crashes'' in the Firefox address bar and press Enter.
