What is Firefox Preview?

This brings back some memories! Firefox Preview was the experimental name we used during the major overhaul of Firefox for Android a few years ago. It eventually transitioned into what we now know as Firefox for Android now.

That said, I don't think you should expect Firefox to turn into Firefox Preview. Can you screenshot how it looked like on your end?

That's really curious. I'll send you the screenshot of my cellphone showing how it's looking like now. The app logo turned into blue and added the "Preview" title under "Firefox" in the main page.

Also, I think the incognito icon also changed a bit.

I have reached out to our engineers and this is something that this are currently looking into.

Well, the purple logo as a splash screen is something I'm at least familiar with, but the logo is definitely a bug.

That will be most likely fixed along with bugzilla.mozilla.org/2066693 — there's some logic to pick a brand image, and if everything else fails, use the developer internals. Seems there are some device resolution numbers confusing that math, so there will be a tweak to cover that as well.

Sorry, no secret functionality or preview features, it's just your usual browser like always, just showing a funny brand from unexpected image file. Enjoy it while it lasts!!;))
