Storage

‘Storage: I'm using 105 GB of 245 GB available in my Mac Tahoe 26.5... but Google says I'm out of storage. How do I get to use the unused storage so I don't have to buy what I don't need? Thanks.’ for ‘Firefox for iOS’

I don't think either your Mac storage or Google cloud plan get into the equation when it comes to Firefox for iOS.

It either only uses your local storage on the phone/tablet, or potentially portions of iCloud backup allowance.

'Thanks'... but Google still is trying to charge for more storage... even though the Mac has 130GB of storage available... smells like Google theft to me.

Where is Google saying that you are out of storage? Is the message appearing on a Google service like Google Drive? Google provides cloud storage such that the data you upload is stored in Google's servers, allowing you to access it from any device. Your computer's storage tells you how much space you have for data that is only accessible on that device. Google has no idea how much space you have on your device.

'Thanks'... Google says I'm out on Gmail.

Hi

Your Google account is a cloud service online that for free gives you a limited amount of storage for their services.

Your Apple device also has storage for files that you saved there.

Not quite sure how this is connected to Firefox.

'Thanks' Paul... as is usually the case... if I look in the mirror, the image there is the source of the problem. In this case, I was treating Apple and Google as a single entity for storage, when they're not... a wishful freebie on my part. Brian
