Hi!

I've had issues with Firefox now for quite a while and they only seem to be getting worse. Performance is really bad, it's lagging while browsing, especially infuriating when typing as the letters come out at a stuttering pace. I've tried disabling extensions one by one, I've tried troubleshoot mode and experienced no major difference.

If I can't solve this soon enough I won't be able to keep using Firefox, as the experience is so frustrating. And it would be a shame since I've come to like it quite much.

Thanks!

What security software besides MS Defender are you running? Windows home or pro? Does it happen with Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#search

Hi! Appreciate the response, sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

The only other software I'm running is NordVPN, which has some built in security features. I'm running Windows 11 Pro.

And I did try Troubleshoot before as I said in my original post, but tried again just to be sure. This time I tried troubleshoot mode a bit longer, hence the delayed reply, to better gauge if it would make a difference. And after some testing it does seem to have resolved the issue. Should I then assume the issue is connected to some extension I use? Thanks!

I would assume so. You can also test in Windows Sandbox(VM) to see if you have the same issue. If it's happening while vpn, that's not something I can help with.
