It does not post error messages - it just won't connect and keeps asking for my password. I have changed the password several times thinking tht would help. Thank you for your help.

That's ok. Just post the exact information from each of the fields there. - server name - port number - user name - connection security - authentication method

That info isn't shown for me, Keeps asking for password and will not accept any new p/w. Keep getting msg - login to server failed.

Didn't I hear about some major change with Comcast email something about them migrating all of their email to Yahoo and there being some form of procedure you had to follow to get you mail migrated or downloaded so you did not loose it.

Google search reveals this to the Comcasts position https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/yahoo-email-migration-overview

As you have already stated you do not know how to log into your providers web mail service to accept the prompt they talk about I suggest you ring them and get their assistance in your migration process. Until that is complete I would guess there is nothing anyone but concast can do for you.
