why are videos blocked on firefox, not on Internet Explorer?

I have not heard of this before. Is there a particular website where you get a message that the videos are blocked? Can you provide a copy/paste of the message or a screenshot? If you have installed an unblocker, what is it called? (I would be very cautious, since programs and add-ons for getting videos to play is one of the top ploys for getting malware onto your computer.)
