Old tabs opening up during new session
During a new session, when I hit the new tab "+" sign, eight or ten or even twenty tabs from an old session that were since closed or "x'ed" out wlll open up again. Why is this happening and how do I stop it? And why should I gave to stop it in the first place? Why does that even happen in the first place?
It's always the same old tabs, also. And two of them are youtube links -- so to annoy me even more, two songs will suddenly start playing simultaneously even though I'm long past the point where I want to hear those songs, especially simultaneously. I close out those tabs, but they keep on reappearing like the things that don't wanna go away. And they always reappear in the middle of my next browsing session.
Windows 8.1/newest version of Firefox.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Multiple_profile_files_created
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).
As for the videos;
